Today is 2nd sunday of the month which means G&T and Poetry appreciation here at Garden Lounge. Free and open to all, this relaxed discussion group requires zero preparation. Just show up around 2pm and we'll start flicking through the book, reading out poems as people choose and sharing our thoughts. G&T is optional :)
Today's book is Robert Harris' rexently published Selected works, edited by Judith Beveridge. Harris died young (41) thirty years ago, and as per the title - Gang of One - didnt have a coterie of peers to champion his case. Grand Parade Poets and Judith Beveridge collaborated recently to curate.this first ever retrospective selection of work by a talented but almost forgotten Australian writer.

We're back! Reopening today from 4pm for takeaway

We're back! Reopening today from 4pm for takeaway food, coffee and books. Customers are asked to wear a mask at all times, sign in with the QR code and wait outside to be served. We can bring books, artworks etc to you for perusal and will have hand sanitiser for use before handling stock.
We're also going to run a DVD market stall, plus a free coffee with every DVD (pro tip: most of the movies cost no more than a coffee anyway!)

Our #stinglessbees are awake! You know what that means - (they think) winter is over.
If youve ever been invited into our private backyard/green room you've probably met these gorgeous little guys. We adopted them them to help support pollination and biodiversity in the area, however next Spring we can potentially harvest some of their honey (tiny quantities, so it'll be a treasure if you get to try it).
And please don't be afraid - as the name suggests, they don't even have a stinger, so should you make them angry all they can do is try to wrestle you
